Wine & Wishes número dos

1st family photo booth!

Thursday we spent the evening at the Natural History Museum for the 2nd annual Wine & Wishes event. There was a great turnout this year!!! If you'd like to learn more information about this fabulous non-profit organization, check out their website here.

One of my favorite things this year, was the opportunity to volunteer with the event's caterer, Shay Patchell, from Chopping Block Catering. I helped prep the "heavy hors d'oeuvres" for over 200 people on Wednesday.

The Menu:
  • Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce
  • Teriyaki Flank Steak Skewers
  • Pork Tapas
  • Kahlua Pork, Cabbage, Carrot, and Vermicelli Noodle Egg Rolls with Plum-Papaya Sauce
  • Battered Asparagus
  • Shrimp Skewers
  • Skewered S'mores with homemade chocolate ganache

(the broccoli, peppers and rice were not part of the event)

don't these look glorious?

Wow. What a delicious menu. It was awesome working with Shay and learning from him. He's super easy going, generous, loves his family, and makes tasty food!!!! His "food truck/kitchen" (named Julia) will be serving at this year's ABQ Wine Festival. Check it out! :)
