We began Easter morning by celebrating Jesus' death, burial & resurrection with our Mars Hill family. We love our church so much and are excited for Lily to become involved.

Our annual tradition continued by heading over to my parents' house for lunch and the challenging easter egg hunt. Of the 91 eggs hidden, only 68 were found I believe. Yes, they are hidden that well. They have to be. For 6-7 adults to be challenged in their search, my dad gets quite creative - but understandably doesn't always remember the location of every single one. Hence, the reason several eggs were left undiscovered.... only to be revealed when the lushness of the garden begins to subside in the fall.

Of course, we attempted family photos (thanks for taking them Paul!) and as usual, the boys made their mark on every shot. However - note the AMAZING backyard behind that my parents have. Dad works very hard to keep the grass, planters, and several beds so beautiful. It's very tough to find eggs amongst so many dense plants. (Maybe that's the real reason he works so hard - to challenge us more at Easter!?)

Ready & waiting for the ok to start.....
And...... GO!!!!!!!!!! Not captured include the ladder-climbing, tool-moving, tree-reaching, booty-bumping techniques that went into the hunt.... I was a little preoccupied myself. ;) We all had a great time hunting and my parents of course were entertained watching us. haha. I'm so thankful for my extended family, our traditions, and our silliness. Can't wait for next year when Lily can start participating! :)
