Further Confirmation

3 weeks ago, Jacob had CT & MRI scans. These were the first set of scans after his surgery in June. Yesterday afternoon we had an appt with Dr. Quinn to find out the results. We are overjoyed to announce that they are ALL CLEAR!!!! Our 5 min appt consisted of: "Scans look good. We'll repeat them in 3 months. Any questions?" Not that we expected anything else after a negative pathology report, but it is still great to have further confirmation that this season is behind us.

Back from our adventure in Europe, Jacob is working an occasional shift or two for the FD... awaiting the posting of a FT position with SFCFD (which has been promised for the past 3 months). While it is somewhat frustrating that they are dragging their feet, we are trying to be patient - as they have been patient with Jacob for the past year. If they don't follow through, however, he will have to start looking at other job options.

I'm still working FT at Peds Specialty Care Unit at UNMH. Work is going well for the most part... Not looking forward to Flu/RSV season though. All you parents out there - wash your hands! Wash your kids' hands! Don't take them to daycare/school if they're sick please!

Ummm, what else is new... I'm assistant coaching a high school girl's basketball team when I can. Coach Dan (my coach when I played with the Angels) is at Southwest Secondary Learning. Right now, practices are only on Saturdays, and since I have to work some weekends, it's not working out much. Also starting wedding photography in my spare time (haha). Too much to do!!!!! and so little time....

Still loving Mars Hill and our community group! Excited to see how Jesus is going to teach and grow us at the Love Life conference next Sat, Oct 9th [10am-4:30pm]at the ABQ Convention Center! Mark Driscoll will be teaching from Song of Solomon and Ephesians about Biblical relationships, love, dating, marriage and intimacy. Tickets are $25 each.
