A Day in Ljubljana

"train station"
Day 6 of our travels:
We got on a train at 8:17 this morning from Maribor to Ljubljana. Yes, we rented a car, but it was so convenient to be dropped off downtown, not worry about parking, and it was great to give Jacob a day off from driving. Even though it's been over 2 years, we remembered how to get around quite well. First, we did some shopping...

Got some yummy smelling, all natural shampoo bars!

Dark Chocolate w/Adriatic Sea Salt

A public milk machine!!! Just insert your own (or purchase) bottle & put in coins... and you get raw cow milk!!!
No, we didn't get any....

Open Air Markets

Then we enjoyed a nice lunch with JP & Angie Manley, IMB missionaries who have been serving in Ljubljana for the past 5 years.  We worked with them
when we came 2 years ago, doing a cafe (kavarna in slovene) project.

Then we headed to Tivoli Park to wander around the prettiness and give me another excuse to practice photography....

Playing in the fountain

This was a random Slovene man who came up to wash his hands.
I don't think he knew I was photographing him too.

It was a great day in the capitol city! After dinner, ice cream (slavoled) and some laughs, we are off to bed. Tomorrow we get to stay in Maribor - I know, not go anywhere? What? Looking forward to a day of rest and fellowship with the Bell's. Thank you Randy & Joan for putting us up in your living room! We love being here with you!!!
