Recovery

Jacob is feeling pretty well! The local anesthesia has worn off so he is hurting a little more today, but it is manageable with his pain meds. We spoke to the surgeon’s nurse today who reported that there were no issues or complications in surgery. J hasn’t had any problems with nausea or lack of appetite and is able to get around the house really well (just slowly!). The incision is starting to swell (the body naturally replaces tissue that is removed with fluid) but we are hoping it will absorb back into the tissue and there won’t be any problems (last time, the area swelled so much that the wound reopened & got infected.) Also, please pray that he will be able to sleep – last night he just couldn’t get comfortable and hardly slept at all. We are very thankful for a smooth experience yesterday and uneventful recovery so far!!! Praise Jesus! Thank you all for your prayers and loving support. God is good!
