#1. Jacob is officially CANCER FREE! The surgical pathology report stated that all the tissue that they removed last week was negative. Woooohoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!
#2. As you can see from our walk in the woods yesterday, Jacob is recovering amazingly well! He is doing better than previous surgeries and does not look like he was cut open less than 2 weeks ago! Pain, activity, wound, etc - so far, things are going very smoothly!
#3. At our appt this morning, the surgeon told us that as a result of #1, no further treatment is recommended. They will do another CT scan & MRI in 3 months (& every 3 mos for a yr, then every 6 mos for a yr, then every yr) to follow up. They also cleared him to go back to work (for the fire dept if he chooses) on August 1st.
#4. In non-medical related news, we purchased a new vehicle on Wed evening... definitely not something we had planned, but the Lord opened up the opportunity to buy a 1998 Jeep Cherokee from our good friend Monty Mitchell @ Premier Motors in SF. We could not have found a better deal or a nicer (condition-wise) vehicle for being 12 yrs old! Now we have something to tow our pop-up so we can do lots of camping this summer!!! :)
#5. We are so thankful for all the family, friends, community group/MHC members, coworkers (PSCU staff) etc that have encouraged, supported, cooked for, prayer for and loved us during this storm!!! We are blessed beyond measure. :)
