The hospital called and we have to check in at Admitting by 6:00am!!!! (merrr...that's even earlier than when I have to be there for work!) Surgery is scheduled to start at 7:30am in the Main OR at UNM Hospital. Hopefully it will be a quick in-and-out like last time and we will be home by lunchtime.
This morning we met with the genetic counselor at the Cancer Center to discuss J's family history of cancer and the likelihood of any genetic predispositions to cancer. They are going to consult with other practitioners at MD Anderson and further investigate J's family, but at this point, the case for Li Fraumeni's is pretty soft. Testing is a possibility, but the advantages vs. disadvantages must be considered (concerning insurance approving the testing, what difference will it make, etc).
We are doing well... had a great getaway to Sipapu last weekend! Skied on some fresh new powder and had a refreshing time with the Lord! And yesterday, since we won't be doing much for Valentine's Day, we enjoyed a relaxing day of couples massage, private hot tub and home-cooked comfort food!!!
