One Year Together

Yesterday, Jacob & I celebrated our 1st anniversary of marriage!!! Praise the Lord! :) What a wonderful time it has been... despite the hard times, I can honestly say it's been the best year of my life.

To begin things, Jacob brought me a flower arrangement that resembled my bridal bouquet!

He had even saved some of the exact same ribbon for it!!!

We attended Legacy Church with Make A Wish to receive the $64,000+ that they raised this past year for the NM Chapter! What a blessing! After my parents took us out to lunch at Weck's, we attempted to go sledding at Sandia. However, we only did a few runs because the runs were packed hard & all moguls so it was kinda scary (& painful!).

Then we prepared for a fancy night out, courtesy of my Aunt Carol & Rona, at the Restaurant Antiquity in Old Town.

Great conversation.

When we came home, our wedding cake was fully thawed (taken out of the freezer the day before) & ready to taste! And to our surprise, it wasn't half bad!!! While we ate our cake, we read through all of the note cards w/our future predictions! (At our reception, we set out a "Time Capsule" where guests filled out predictions of 'Where will Jacob & Meghan be in 1/5/10/25 years'.) We also read our vows, the Scripture passages from our ceremony & the cards/letters we had written to one another for our anniversary. We talked about our favorite things from the last year, the hardest parts of being married, why we are thankful for one another, and where each other had grown since Jan 3, 2009.....

Thank you Lord for blessing us with an amazing year together. We are looking forward to many more to come.
