Court Date Finally Issued!

We are so excited to announce that we finally have a date for our first trip to Korea!!!!!

      Just received confirmation of our hearing with the Korean Family Court on Friday, August 11th! We are so excited!!! 

      We will be leaving the USA in about 3 weeks and have our first meeting with Gideon on the 7th or 8th at the ESWS agency in Seoul. I get a little emotional thinking about seeing him for the 1st time, playing with him, holding him (if he lets us)... knowing that it's only temporary and we don't get to bring him home with us just yet.... But this is the next step of our journey to become a family of 4 and it will be amazing!!!! Below is the updated progress report on our exit process --

6/2 The court sent notice to the birthmother
6/12 The birthmother replied
7/13 Issued our court date
8/11 Court Date

    Things are getting a little crazy over here as we just booked our flights and hotels 😱 We've got to work on FMLA requests, gifts for everyone in Korea, reading, language, Lily's preschool plans, preparing Gideon's room, and of course packing! All while continuing on with our normal, crazy-busy lives! LOL!!! Since we had such short notice, our flights were more expensive than we anticipated and we will be depleting more of our adoption account than hoped. In light of that, we have edited our fundraising goal to cover the travel expenses for our 2nd trip and post-placement fees. We are so grateful for any and every gift generously given towards our adoption!!
