This afternoon, I am waiting at OSIS while J gets his CT & MRI done.... He did have to drink the nasty orange contrast, but prayerful that it won't make him sick to his stomach for the rest of the day. Won't find out any results until our appt on April 20th with Dr. Quinn. Hoping to learn a date for 3rd (Last?) surgery at that point as well.
Good news: J's incision is almost healed! Too small to pack anymore, but still open....
In other news, we've started attending Mars Hill Church! We also celebrated J's 24th bday last week!
This evening J & I have our initial meeting as wishgranters with a little girl named Hailey who is battling neuroblastoma! Looking forward to bringing hope & joy to her and her family through the services of Make A Wish. :)
Last night we saw the movie, "Letters to God". A heartfelt tale of inspiration, hope and redemption, Letters to God is the story of what happens when one boy’s walk of faith crosses paths with one man’s search for meaning—the resulting transformational journey touches the lives of everyone around them. What an inspirational film!!! This was particularly meaningful to me, since cancer is a part of my work as a pediatric nurse, as well as in my home. Full of faith, hope, & encouragement... you've gotta check it out! *Bring some tissues though!
Praying for you guys today as you learn the results! Keep us posted. Also, so glad that you are at MHC! :)
