Graduation into the Holidays

The past ten days have been a whirlwind of parties, celebrations, gifts, family, friends, and of course, food. On the 17th, I celebrated my 25th birthday (I know, can you believe it?) by lunch & a movie with my sweet husband (Go see "The Blind Side"!!!), walking around the River of Lights, and coming home to dinner & dessert w a few of my friends. What a blessed day!

Friday, we continued the partying with Jacob's Graduation Party Open House. Our home welcomed lots of family & friends throughout the night. And Jacob felt very loved by the presence & generous gifts of all who came. Thank you!!!

And here's Soca, all curled up in his chair.

Saturday was the commencement for UNM's Anderson School of Management. Jacob graduated with his BBA degree on the floor of Johnson Gym. We proudly looked on & cheered!

We were blessed to have his good friend, Jeremy, with us that weekend as well.

We spent Christmas Eve in Santa Fe... Jacob delivered flowers all morning, then the family gathered at his parent's house for lunch. That evening we attended the Christmas Eve at Calvary Baptist Church (check out the "Sermons" section to listen to the message that Jacob shared on December 13 about how God is the God of all comfort!!!). Jacob & I exchanged gifts when we got home. Christmas morning we headed to my parents' where we opened presents, shared brunch, played games and hung out for most of the day. Late afternoon we returned home and prepared for guests again - J's parents, cousins, aunt & uncle, and friend joined us for dinner, dessert (yummm...) and more games!

It was a great first Christmas together. We are blessed. :) Hope that you all had a wonderful day showing people love and celebrating the coming of our Savior.
