Day 7: Ugh. The last full day of our trip came so quickly! Despite our disappointment at it's arrival, we made the best of our day. After smoothies at
Java Kai (Lava Lust was tasty!!!) & packed sandwiches, we went on a hike that our hosts recommended.

Unfortunately, we forgot the bug spray... and walked away with dozens of bites all over our legs especially. :( I think I counted like 23. But it was so beautiful, quiet, isolated, green, peaceful....
We drove N to the
Kilauea Lighthouse for some views, but decided not to walk through it and the wildlife refuge this time. The colors of the water were so vividly brilliant!
Then we returned to Secret Beach, one of our favorites, took a nap... and played around with some photography till sunset.
