Where is he?

Many of you have asked if we know who we are adopting yet, or if our son has been born already? 

To be honest, we don't know for sure yet.

But most likely, he has been born and is currently in Korean foster care. 

Here's why we assume this......

  The ESWS stands for Eastern Social Welfare Society. It was established in 1972 to help children find adoptive families and address other social needs. I love that their Vision starts out: "Life is a precious gift from God". This organization coordinates with our agency in CO, AAC, to work with the Korean government and match us with our little boy. 
 
    If you look at their Pre-Adoption Process page, you will see where babies start at "Intake" and the steps necessary before they can come to a forever family in the USA. 

"When no domestic (Korean) adoptive parents are found after five months old, then the case is open for overseas adoption. In the case of the USA, we have affiliated organizations that match up interested parents to the baby and send us the 'assignments papers'.  Received documents are then thoroughly reviewed for qualification."

So, that's why it takes awhile for babies to even be eligible for international adoption. 


We believe that right now he is being loved dearly by a Korean foster family around the Seoul area. We are excited and hopeful to get a referral soon, and have a name/picture to share!!!!
